The Art of Doing

Want to be an Art of Doing Intern?

Who do we want? We’re looking for college students or recent graduates who would like to research, write, generate ideas, create graphics and films or simply help spread the word for this blog. Social networking, writing, editing, researching, WordPress, filmmaking, film editing, photography and graphic design skills are a plus. But this is an excellent opportunity to improve these skills without expectation of prior professional experience. You’ll get the chance for some hands-on, practical experience in publishing and online media and have the opportunity to work with people with years of media experience between them. We also provide one-on-one discussion for future goals and career counsel. (Our former intern is now at New York Magazine.)

What do we want from you? Can you work for 2-4 hours a week either virtually or in Manhattan for a minimum of three months? We’re looking for people who are creative, self-motivated, reliable and professional. Flakes need not apply.

What can we pay you?
After the first month, we will pay a $50/month stipend if you’re still with us. If you’re amazing, we offer bonuses.

How can you apply? Send an email to: info(at)theartofdoing(dot)com subject INTERN with your resume, a sample of your work (writing, photography, graphic design, film, etc.) and a short cover letter telling us why you’re interested in an ART OF DOING internship and what you think you will add to the mix.

Look forward to hearing from you.
